At the Ozark Folk Center Park you’ll visit with authentic working crafts people and Ozark Mountain musicians who are passionate about their lifestyle and livelihood in these Ozark hills. Start your visit by parking in the large parking lot at the bottom of the hill and visit the general store where you can buy your ticket to the Craft Village and evening concert as you wait for the shuttle to carry you and your family up the hill. The shuttle will drop you off at the Homespun Gift Shop and entrance to the park.
The Craft Village is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12.00 for adults and $7.00 for children 6-12. There is also family passes and season passes available.
Currently the shops in the Craft Village include the Candle Shop, Gun Smith, Jewelry, Broom Shop, Doll Shop, Basket Shop, Mountain View Art Guild Gallery, Leather Shop, Blacksmith’s Forge, Apothecary & Soap Making Shop, Clothier Shop, Woodworking Shop, Spinning and Weaving Shop, Cooper colorists, Knife Shop, Print Shop, Pottery, Stained Glass, and Cooperage Shop.
The crafts demonstrated, created and sold in the Ozark State Park Craft Village reflect the history, traditions and resources of the Ozark Highlands region. Spend time talking with the craftsmen and craftswomen as they go about their work and find out where their craft originated and how they’ve developed their own unique skills.
